Face Amount
The amount stated in the policy as payable at death of the insured or at the maturity of the contract. Also called "amount of insurance," "policy benefit," "face value."

Face Page
The first page of a life insurance policy. The face page includes basic information identifying the policy, such as the name of the insured, the policy owner and beneficiary, plan of insurance, amount of premiums, and policy number.

Flat Schedule
A type of schedule in group insurance under which everyone is insured for the same benefits regardless of salary, position or other circumstances.

Flexible Premium Annuity
A form of annuity policy which allows a person to invest as much as desired rather than paying level premiums.
